More than half of Court Ordered Child Support goes unpaid!

According to the American Bar Association Guide to Marriage, Divorce, and Families, more than 50% of child support owed by a non custodial parent goes uncollected.  Many cases are for children who were born out of wedlock. Even though a child is born out of wedlock it is still possible to collect child support from the non custodial biological parent through a Paternity/Maternity action.

If a man does not want to be responsible for an accident child, it is because he is not capable or he is not sure that the child is his. But if paternity can be scientifically proved, then he should be be compelled to take up the responsibility of taking care or, at least, contribute to the up keep a the fellow he brought to the world.

Cases where no scientific prove exist are difficult cases for both the mother and the accused “father”. The law must recognize that any girl or woman who accepts to sleep with a man who is not her husband has no moral right to force a man to believe that she slept with just him.

I believe that most of the men who are refusing to pay do not trust the mothers who claim that they made them pregnant.
